Our Summer 2025 retreat in early December was a joy – we’d love to have you join us for the next one!
Being part of the stitching community is such a humbling experience, at the recent Summer 2025 Stitching in the Mountains Retreat, Lisa from Paddock Lane Designs and I were joined by a group of talented, kind and generous people for a weekend of stitchy fun.
Held in our new home, the Metropole Guesthouse in Katoomba, NSW; the retreat included an ornament exchange, finishing classes, new vendors, neck & shoulder massage appointments, yummy food put on by the Metropole, and the usual excitement of reconnecting with old friends, and meeting new.
It was wonderful to see everyone’s beautiful stitching and to spend time and learn together. I’d especially like to thank everyone for their patience in the middle of a heatwave, and the Metropole staff for their support and icy drinks!
I’d also like to thank all the vendors and stitchers who donated to our raffle (raising money for the Older Women’s Network NSW), including Kim, who donated a stunning quilt, and Teri, who cooked up a storm of jams, pickles and other goodies that will keep me fed for months. A big thank-you to our helpers Michelle, Alix, Heather & Helen for their invaluable assistance, and for Alex from Little Cozy Props for making the gorgeous project bags that formed part of everyone’s goodie-bag. And lastly, a big thank you to the staff of the Metropole, for making us so welcome, and to Lisa for her incredible organisation.
We’ll be back again in June 2026 for a Winter retreat, and we’d absolutely love to have you with us. It will be held on June 26-28th 2026, and you can fill out an expression of interest form by CLICKING HERE.
