Stay Strong

A free design in thanks…

Being part of the stitching community is such a privilege and a comfort. It’s been a difficult time, and I wanted to create a small design to offer you in thanks for your kindness, and to celebrate the resilience of even the most fragile-seeming life.

I love those moments when I spy a tiny plant growing up between concrete cracks, or growing on a sheer cliff. These moments remind me that we can survive and even thrive, despite obstacles. I hope this little design reminds you of your own strength and fortitude, or perhaps you might like to stitch it as a gift for another, to honour their resilience.

Either way, please accept this gift as a token of profound gratitude for the kindness you’ve shown me. The design features the Columbine Aquilegia; a beautiful flower that can symbolise resilience and can be worn for courage.

My model was stitched on 32-count β€˜Cinnamon Sugar’ by Paddock Lane Designs using 5 colours from the “Bookshelf” Edit, my collaboration with Cottage Garden Threads: JK13 Cloth Bound, JK11 Chamomile Tea, JK08 Gilt, JK02 Leather Bound, JK22 Foxing. A DMC conversion is included. If you would like to stitch it in the CGT, you can find them in my Etsy store, from CGT directly or in your local needlework store.

You can download the free PDF below. Please feel free to direct your stitchy friends to this page for the pattern, and subscribe for more goodies to come!
